Highly Calcific Coronary Block Treated by IVUS Guided Angioplasty Done Successfully by Dr. Vaibhav B Patil

A 70-year-old lady came with Acute onset Chest pain since 2 days increased since 2-3 hours diagnosed to have Acute Coronary Syndrome Acute Anterior Wall Myocardial Infarction. Patient was taken for Primary PCI (Primary Angioplasty In Acute Myocardial Infarction – PAMI). Coronary Angiography suggestive of  HIGHLY Calcified Proximal LAD 90-95 % lesion followed by 90% Calcific lesion in mid LAD. Patients ECG S/o Evolved AWMI. It was decided to give GP2b3a inhibitor and the patient was posted for IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound) guided angioplasty. 
The patient underwent successfuIVUS-guidedided PTCA with stenting to Ostioproximal LAD to Mid LAD by Dr. Vaibhav B Patil. The procedure was completed with very minimum dye (60-70 ml ) which is due to the use of IVUS. Post procedure patient was discharged in stable condition.
